INTERESTS AIDS Prevention and Education Established in August 1989, the ART
GUILD FOR EDUCATION AND COMMUNICATION, INC. with the objective
of utilizing the arts as an instrument to educate, communicate,
challenge and inform on varied sociopolitical concerns. From 1998 to 2000, designed and supervised the construction of the PULANG LUPA complex in brgy. Lumingon in the town of Tiaong, province of Quezon in the Philippines. Completed in late 2000, it provides a venue for educational and cultural activities for the abutting communities. In consonance with the construction efforts, "adopted" the villages of Lusacan and Lumingon providing free medical consultations and medicines and a continuing effort at health education and awareness to affect health-beneficial behavioral changes compatible with the rural realities of indigence and unaffordability of traditional health care. In 1999, concepted and designed - and continues to maintain - the StuartXchange website, an cyberwarehouse of literary publications, informational / educational contents including an ongoing study and overview of alternative medicine in the Philippines. Established in April 2001, the PULANG LUPA FOUNDATION, INC., a non-profit, non-stock corporation. The foundation provides assistance to the studentry of brgys. Lumingon and Lusacan through scholarships and an educational assistance fund; supports a variety of cultural and youth oriented activities; with a program of health education that attempts to merge the rural alternative therapies with traditional treatment modalities.
